The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, attended the 20th international conference on Petroleum Mineral Resources and Development, reported Egypt Oil&Gas citing the ministry’s press release.
During the conference, El Molla stated in his opening speech that Egypt is witnessing fundamental changes that made everybody positive about the development of all fields and eventually the improvement of living standards.
El Molla added that the changes will help Egypt to regain its significant position globally and regionally. These changes in the energy sector will affect the social and economic development plans.
El Molla further praised the role technology plays in the supply of energy, adding that technological development helps in increasing the global demand of oil and gas and helps in achieving the best of natural resources and increasing its economic value while taking in consideration the global and regional standards for a safe environment.
El Molla pointed out the importance of supporting young researchers in order to develop research and keep pace with the information revolution and massive technological developments happening across the world.
